Club Activities
Routine maintenance as required by Club volunteers.

Handgun (Pistol) Range
Facilities:
Foam target boards for hanging paper targets.
Various steel plate targets.
Activities:
Range is open for shooting of Handguns ONLY from 9:00am to sunset daily and from 1:00pm to sunset on Sundays.
No shoulder mounted firearms are permitted on this range.
Maximum shooting distance on this range is 30 yards.

Rifle Range
Facilities:

Covered 10 bench shooting line.

100 Yard target holders with Earthen Bank Backstop

25 Yard and 50 yard steel frame backstops with target holders.

Portable steel frame shotgun patterning target holders.
Activities:

Range is open for shooting of Centerfire and Rimfire Rifles and Handguns as well as Muzzleloading firearms by members and their guests. See Shooting Rules.

Shotgun patterning is also allowed, using the steel frame provided or you may bring your own.

Archery Range
Facilities:
Practice Field Range (field points only).
Separate Broadhead Target (this is the only target on the grounds for broadheads.)
Crossbow Target and Shooting Bench (field points only).
12 Target 3D Course available at no charge from mid-July to mid-October (field points only).
The above listed targets are in the woods, west of the PP&L powerline.
16-foot Elevated Shooting Platform with bag targets and 3D animal targets is located behind the clubhouse (field points only).

Trap Shooting Range
Facilities:

Standard Regulation Trap Course, lighted field when necessary.

Ground mounted portable trap for individual use when standard trap is not open.
Activities:
-
1st Wednesday in April to last Wednesday in October - shooting starts at 6:00pm, weather permitting.

2nd and 4th Sundays in April through October - shooting starts at 2:00pm, weather permitting.

Variety of options. 16-25 yards and Wobble Trap.

Cost to shoot is $4.00 per round of 25.

12 Gauge or smaller shotguns. Shot size #7 1/2 or smaller.

Association Rules
It is the responsibility of each member to know and understand all rules & regulations, not only abiding by them but also making sure their guest(s) abide by them.

TREAT ALL WEAPONS AS IF THEY ARE LOADED.
-
NEVER POINT ANY WEAPON AT ANYTHING YOU DO NOT INTEND TO SHOOT.
-
KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOU HAVE ACQUIRED YOUR TARGET.
-
KNOW YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT.
-
IT IS HIGHLY RECOMMENDED THAT EAR AND EYE PROTECTION BE USED WHILE SHOOTING.
-

NO alcoholic beverages allowed on the grounds.
-
Grounds are open to all club members and their families at any time EXCEPT when scheduled activities and special events, approved by the Board of Directors, requires limiting access and use by the general membership to all or portions of the grounds and facilities, for reasons of safety and to avoid interference with said scheduled activities and special events. Typically, notice should be posted at the entrance gate and at the Ground Rules Sign erected on the power line right-of-way at least one week in advance of the activity or event and removed immediately at the conclusion of said activity and event.

No open fires permitted on the grounds except clean-up details performed by club members or properly attended fires in fire rings.

Membership card must be shown upon request of any properly identified member.
-
No children allowed in shooting areas unless accompanied by a parent, guardian, or responsible adult.

1. Shoot only at properly erected paper targets.
2. No targets shall be placed above the target holders.
3. Do not place targets on uprights.
4. No fully automatic weapons permitted on the grounds.
5. No armor piercing rifle ammunition permitted.
6. Claybird shooting will be done ONLY on the trap range in the proper direction. The use of hand or portable throwers is permitted. No rifle or handgun shooting on the trap range.
7. No practice shooting shall be done on the block shoot course. Shotgun patterning MUST be done on the rifle range using the portable target holder provided.
8. SHOOTING HOURS:
Monday thru Saturday — 9:00am to sunset
Sunday — 1:00pm to sunset
9. Members may be accompanied by two (2) guests. However, other members have preference over guests. Members are responsible for the action of their guests (Use common courtesy).
10. Give others a chance. DON’T MONOPOLIZE THE FACILITIES.
11. Clean up when finished. Place used targets in the waste container or take them with you. Place unwanted spent cartridges in container provided.
12. Archery Targets are to be used for archery shooting only. No firearms of any type should be used at archery targets.
13. SPECIAL RULES FOR USE OF CENTERFIRE SEMI-AUTOMATIC RIFLES
a. ABSOLUTELY NO RAPID FIRE.
b. Rifle must be fired in single shot fashion only.
c. Single shot fashion is defined by the Board of Directors as, allowing enough elapsed time between shots for the rifle and the shooter to recover from the recoil of one shot and for the rifle to be properly re-sighted at the target before another shot is fired.
d. Firing must be done in such a manner as to assure the bullet impact will be in the immediate area of the properly erected target.
e. No armor piercing ammunition permitted.
At the discretion of the Board of Directors, any substantiated incident of the violation of any of these special rules will result in the immediate cessation of all use of centerfire semi-automatic rifles on Association property.
14. Violation of these rules may lead to loss of membership in accordance with the By-Laws.
CAUTION: A RESIDENCE IS DOWN RANGE.

GENREAL RULES. IN ADDITION TO THE GROUND RULES AND SHOOTING RULES STATED IN THE BY-LAWS AND POSTED NEAR THE PARKING AREA AND 100 YARD SHOOTING RANGE, THE FOLLOWING RULES APPLY TO THE PISTOL RANGE:
SOMEONE MUST ALWAYS ASSUME THE DUTY OF RANGE OFFICIER WHEN RANGE IS IN USE BY MORE THAN ONE SHOOTER. HIS COMMANDS SHALL BE SIMILAR TO THE FOLLOWING:
A. RANGE IS HOT, COMMENCE FIRING
B. CEASE FIRING, SECURE YOUR WEAPON
C. ALL CLEAR, CHECK YOUR TARGETALL SHOOTERS MUST OBEY THE COMMANDS OF THE RANGE OFFICER
DO NOT MOVE FORWARD OF THE ESTABLISHED FIRING LINE UNTIL AN ALL CLEAR COMMAND HAS BEEN GIVEN BY THE RANGE OFFICER AND AFTER ALL WEAPONS ON THE RANGE HAVE BEEN CLEARED OF AMMUNITION AND PREFERABLY HOLSTERED.
A CEASE FIRE CAN BE CALLED BY ANYONE FOR ANY NOTICED UNSAFE ACT OR SITUATION.
WHEN A CEASE FIRE IS CALLED, ALL SHOOTERS MUST CEASE FIRING IMMEDIATELY, UNLOAD WEAPONS, AND PLACE THEM ON SAFE AND PREFERABLY HOLSTER THEM.
IF YOUR WEAPON FAILS TO FIRE, WHEN YOU SQUEEZE THE TRIGGER, HOLD YOUR SHOOTING POSITION FOR A FEW SECONDS, THEN KEEPING PISTOL POINTED IN A SAFE DIRECTION, ASK FOR ASSISTANCE, AND, IF NECESSARY, CALL FOR CEASE FIRE AND UNLOAD THE WEAPON.
KEEP WEAPONS UNLOADED AND PREFERABLY HOLSTERED WHEN NOT IN USE.
FIRING MAY ONLY BE DONE FROM THE ESTABLISHED FIRING LINE FOR THE CURRENT ROUND OF SHOOTING.
SHOOT ONLY AT LEGITIMATE RANGE TARGETS PROVIDED. YOU MUST PROVIDE YOUR OWN PAPER SILHOUETTE TARGETS AND PLACE THEM ON THE PROPER BOARDS. DO NOT PLACE TARGETS ABOVE THE TARGET HOLDERS OR ON UPRIGHTS.
NO ONE UNDER 21 YEARS OF AGE IS PERMITTED TO USE THE RANGE WITHOUT THE PRESENCE AND SUPERVISION OF SOMEONE 21 YEARS OF AGE OR OLDER. ABSOLUTELY NO EXCEPTIONS.
WHEN MORE THAN ONE PERSON IS USING THE RANGE, CROSSFIRING IS STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
ALL NONSHOOTERS MUST REMAIN BEHIND THE ACTIVE FIRING LINE.
ONLY PISTOLS (HANDGUNS), INCLUDING BLACK POWDER HANDGUNS, ARE PERMITTED ON THIS RANGE. NO RIFLES AND ABSOLUTELY NO UZIS OR OTHER FULLY AUTOMATIC WEAPONS ALLOWED.
NO ONE UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF DRUGS OR ALCOHOL IS PERMITTED TO USE THE RANGE (THE USE OF DRUGS OR ALCOHOL IS PROHIBITED ON ASSOCIATION GROUNDS).
VIOLATION OF ANY OF THESE RULES MAY LEAD TO LOSS OF MEMBERSHIP IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE ASSOCIATION BY-LAWS.
CAUTION: A RESIDENCE IS DOWN RANGE.
